The idea to develop the product doesn't come from a vacuum. Usually, a Product Manager is called Problem Solver. If there is any problem then how to understand the problem is a very important Job.
If one student keeps on appearing for one exam and getting fail for the exam. We know the problem that student is failing. What is the actual reason which makes him/her fail for the exam?
There might be multiple reasons such as:
1. Does not understand the subject.
2. Does not know the course syllabus.
3. Does want to learn but appear for the exam.
4. Does not have a good mentor.
5. Does not understand the language.
6. Lack of Self Confidence.
We could list down another 10 reasons also but we would work with only above mentioned 6 reasons.
Now after listing all the reasons need to understand the actual reason which is pertained to him.
I have known one student who actually put 3-4 hours daily for only one subject but unable to get past. I started asking questions about why he failed.
He was very upset but after asking some basic questions I understood that he does not go through the actual syllabus.
He tried to learn a complete book but did not focus more on the syllabus which was limited and easy to understand.
After showing the actual syllabus and asked him to read-only as per the syllabus rather than complete the book and after he actually passes the exam.
A similar process observed in Product Development. Problem-solving plays a vital role in Product Development and their steps are:
1. Note down the Problem.
2. Lists all possible reasons.
3. Find the Exact reason pertained with the Problem.
4. Solve the Problem.
The Product Manager follows the same process. First, he/she understands the potential problem and solves the problem by making the best product.
Once the product starts solving the People's sproblem then it would also increase the company revenues. Problem Solving skill makes Product Manager a stellar Product Manager.
Claps for you.
