When we heard about the word Statistics then usually we imagine the math's complicated formulae and their derivations. A few would also understand Statistics as a part of Mathematics but it is not. Statistics is a separate field but pertained to Mathematics. I request you not to say both are the same in front of the Statistician, one might feel bad.

What is Statistics?

It is a domain where one needs to collect and organize the data so that further can do some analysis and get some useful patterns or information.

Why is Statistics used?

It is used because while collecting data sometimes we can collect all data and sometimes unable to collect data completely so in that case, we have to work with available data but when we have to guess then we have to guess for the complete family of data irrespective of a missing data family member.

How is Statistics used?

Using Statistics, one can do some kind of prediction(future seeing) by using historical data. Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning) using the statistics only to do data analysis and future predictions.
